Mirror Man

Clear as glass and still as water,

I look and I see,

The reflection does not falter,

But I’m ashamed of the view of me.

I stare blankly as if it’ll change the view,

And pray, oh I pray it will,

To erase the page and start a new,

But I see the old me still.

I know the truth and I know it well,

I must come to terms with my soul if I can,

I must love the person inside the shell,

Before I love the mirror man
